      Step by step

      April 8th, 2008

Do you ever feel you are not moving fast enough? You have a dream, but it seems to be taking a long time to create? Well that’s how I was feeling yesterday when I spoke with my wonderful Soul Coach, Kalena. kalenaassociates.com

As we were talking about the various aspects of my business and life, I noticed a big huge turtle crawling along the fence in my backyard. In my excitement, I told Kalena about the beautiful turtle I saw! Her question to me was, “What does that turtle represent to you?” I couldn’t help but remember the story of the ‘Turtle and the Hare’. I told her, “The turtle may not move as fast as the hare, but he is steady, ever moving toward his goal. The hare may run to and fro, but this turtle was moving step by step along the fence making sure progress.”

I decided this was a message from Spirit to me, reminding me that if I take each step of my journey, no matter how fast or slow, I am making progress in my life. Here is the amazing thing. When I woke up this morning, I checked my emails and found this note from The Universe. tut.com

Here is the message I received from the Universe this morning:

Don’t be afraid. You needn’t slay the beast nor scale the entire mountain. That’s not how it’s done. You only need to move through today, Sandra. Think of the distance you’ve already covered. Focus on your strengths. Let each new step remind you of your freedom. Let every breath you take remind you of your power. Seek out friends and guides; they’re anxious to help. You’re not alone. You’re understood. This road has been walked before. Dance life’s dance, just a few steps at a time, and in the wink of an eye you will wonder to yourself, “What beast, what mountain? Was I having a dream?”
      Love you,
      The Universe
      We’re already so proud, Sandra.

Spirit is always tuned into us and giving us the support and help we need. We’ve often heard the expression, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’. The life of your dreams is coming and actually, you are living that dream right now with every step you take. This moment is your dream coming true.

One of my father’s favorite sayings was, “Together we make it!” I like to add this: “Together we make it step by step”.

      Life as a Puzzle

      October 22nd, 2007

      Written by Sandra Larson

This morning I woke up at 5:30 with a crazy dream. It was too early to get up and yet too late to go back to sleep. So, I did what anyone might do, I laid there and pondered my life which lately, I’ve been calling a puzzle. This puzzle has a bunch of pieces I assumed would easily come together to form a lovely out-picturing of my life. But, lately, I’ve been feeling more like a clumsy juggler! So, I tried meditating, but couldn’t escape the metaphor of ‘life as a puzzle’. Finally, at 6:30 I gave up and headed over to the local 24-hour store to purchase a jigsaw puzzle. With paper and pencil in hand, I recorded each step of putting a puzzle together. Maybe, just maybe I could use this puzzle metaphor to bring together the pieces of my life and help me manifest my dreams. If this serves you, use it, but if it doesn’t take it off like a heavy winter coat in the heat of summer. So, here’s what I’ve learned so far:

      1. Decide what you want to do and find the right puzzle: Know for sure what you want to manifest into your life. When you are clear, state your intention. Be aware of and correct any negative self-talk which may either counter or diminish the strength of your intention. One of the greatest gifts you have is the power of choice. Choosing to set a clear intention and acting as if it’s already happened is a potent magnetic manifesting instrument.

      2. Dedicate a space for your puzzle: Know clearly where your manifestation will land in your life. This may involve space-clearing which is letting go of or releasing something that no longer serves you. The Universe loves to fill up a vacuum!

      3. Devote time to completing your puzzle: Create a schedule you can follow consistently, but not obsessively.

      4. Study the picture on the box: Hold a picture of your complete and fulfilled manifestation in your mind’s eye. The Universe will leap to contribute because you see it as already done. Also, you may create a vision board or an altar which represents your manifestation.

      5. Open the box and dump out the pieces: Know when you began, things may feel upside-down and chaotic. But, try to keep this time light and playful! Getting messy can be fun. Most of us used to love it as children!

      6. Turn all the pieces right side up: Make it easy for yourself. Move things in the right direction. Get into and stay in the flow. Upside down pieces prevent you from seeing the guidance that’s right there in front of you.

      7. Find all the edge pieces and put the border together: This is so powerful because when you create a container, the Universe will fill and match it abundantly. Along the way, celebrate every accomplishment with appreciation and a grateful heart. Gratitude is another powerful manifesting magnet.

      8. Review the picture, group the other pieces into colors and work on each section: Review your manifestation so you are able to maintain your vision of the big picture. This is the time when things may seem to be separated into component parts. Remember, they will come together again to create the complete picture. Roll up your sleeves and work/play at your project. Be organized. Know each part of your manifestation is important. Remember if the pieces don’t fit together don’t force them. You’ll soon discover the right fitting piece.

      9. Take a break and come back later to work on the puzzle: When you find your energy dragging on your project, walk away. Know a part of you continues to work even when you’re not there. Clear your mind of the worry and stress. Go and do something that fills you with joy. You can take your animal companion for a walk in nature, and think of everything you’re grateful for. Your manifestation project will still be there waiting for completion, just like the puzzle.

      10. Complete the puzzle: Remember, it’s already been created by someone else who is experienced at making puzzles. Think of this one as your Highest and Best Future Self. What if this wonderful and powerful part of you already knows the template and also knows you will create this manifestation beautifully? Could you help your five-year old-self learn to tie shoes? So, it is, if you know and trust your own Highest and Best Future Self, you can simply work with the confidence of ‘I’ve been there and I’ve done that’!

“All of us are the individual puzzle pieces of life. Each of us is needed to make the big picture complete.”
