      Special for Valentine’s Day

      January 15th, 2010

      Hello Animal Friends!

heartsI would like to make a very special offer to you! Valentine’s Day is coming up. I can’t speak for you, but I know my dogs Buddy and Casey are my two very special Valentines! I thought it would be fun to give you a space to send a loving Valentine to your special animal companion(s) too. This can be done by telling a favorite funny story, writing a poem and just a sweet love letter to your beloved sweet animal friend(s). These love notes will be published in our Valentine’s Day February Newsletter. This is a great way to get your children writing about a favorite familiar topic. Or, perhaps it will be a great way to give a loving salute to an animal that has passed on!

Now here’s the offer part and way I would like to say thank you! (I’m getting a little nervous as I offer this . . . LOL!) For those of you who send this special Valentine, you will receive a free 15 minute phone animal communication session. The deadline for your submission is (Paula, add a responsible deadline here.) I can’t wait to see all of you wonderful submissions. If you are able, please include a picture of your animal companion to be shared in the Newsletter.

Thank you for loving the animals!
      Sandra

p.s. You can send in as many Valentines as you would like for those of you with multiple-animal families, but each family will receive just one free 15 minute animal communication session.

      1. Bev Says:

Working as a caregiver, sponsored by the state I live in, I met a dog that was tied up in a residents back yard on a 3ft rope in a fenced in yard (grrrr). I did my best to explain how inappropriate this was to no avail. I watched the owners with the dog for a couple of days and was shocked at their total lack of compassion for a dog that I was falling in love with. I always made sure this dog had fresh water and food but the residents would not allow me to take better care with him than that. One day I showed up early and to my dismay found this dog with his mouth duct taped around a small stuffed animal. He was obviously in respiratory distress. It was a hot summer day and they had him stuffed into a cat carrier!! That day I took him home with me even though they threatened me with the law. I called animal control and was fortunate to get a man I had talked to many times. He told me I had to take the dog back and file a complaint. I dont think I was ever more angry, sad and just beside myself with the thought of leaving this intelligent fun-loving animal in a BAD situation. Broke my heart when he cried at the fence when I returned him. Animal Control would monitor but that wasnt good enough for anyone involved in this. I had to offer these people money to cover their “costs”. Ended up giving $200 but they really had no idea how high I would go so I reckon I got off easy. I named him Max and even tho Ive had dogs all my life this one is different. Truth to tell 4 yrs later, he has certainly beat all my expectations of becoming a companion. Max came into my life for a reason and has taught me more than Ive taught him! Im a better person for knowing him and my husband is a better person for knowing this delightfully loyal, prank playing fun creature who is so very intelligent, gentle and loving. Thanks for letting me share Max with you. Blessing to u for all the work you have put into your lifes passion. Nice to meet you. :)
