Butterfly Ballet © was commissioned by one of my collectors. He asked me to paint this for his wife who loves butterflies and calla lilies. I wanted to bring some of the butterflies "up close and personal." While some of them are from the moth family, I chose to include them because of their beauty. I painted the mauve, blue and purple background with soft edges so that it would provide a colorful, but muted back drop for the butterflies and flowers. I love color, organic lines, and light and shadow. It's all here in Butterfly Ballet. The poster is available and is hand-signed.
