I was recently invited to appear on Nikki Ivey's podcast, DogSpeak. I've known about Nikki's work for about five or six years, thanks to my good friend Heather. She has asked Nikki to work with her dogs on many occasions. Heather introduced me to Nikki, who has thirty years of experience as a trainer and canine behavior specialist. She’s also a certified Family Dog Mediator and Pet Food Nutrition Specialist with a wealth of experience surrounding dog-human relationships. I already knew she had years of experience, but what I didn’t realize until our podcast conversation, she is also extremely intuitive. It was a delightful time!

Throughout the years, Heather has been a returning guest on Nikki’s podcast, DogSpeak, where our animal communication sessions have been discussed. From those conversations, Nikki reached out to me a few years ago for a session with one of her dogs. I found her relationship with her dog to be extremely solid and special. They were very in tune with each other, a testament to her abilities and innate talents. She is very skilled and experienced at what she does. Her wisdom and knowledge of assessing and improving relationships between dogs and their guardians is impressive.
The time I spent talking with Nikki seemed to fly by! The conversation was engaging, fun and interesting. She brings a wealth of experience to every discussion, as well as a great sense of humor. It really was fun! Nikki’s profound understanding of canine behavior is spot on. She is definitely dialed into what dogs need in order to thrive, which honestly, isn't much different than what humans need. All sentient beings have the same basic needs. I admire and appreciate her passion for dogs. She's a bright light in this world.
If you are seeking insightful guidance and practical tips for living in harmony with your canine companions, I highly recommend listening to Nikki's weekly podcast, DogSpeak. Each episode offers valuable information drawn from her extensive experience and deep understanding of canine behavior. Her remarkable talent for helping both dogs and their humans is evident in her work and podcasts. Her genuine compassion shines through her words and actions. Whether you are a seasoned dog guardian or just beginning your journey, DogSpeak is a wonderful resource that can help you foster a more loving and peaceful relationship with your dog.
The clip above is a little glimpse into the conversation Nikki and I recently recorded for the DogSpeak podcast. We had so much fun doing it! In this episode, we address a range of topics, including the ways in which animals interpret non-verbal cues from humans, separation anxiety, reasons behind animal dissociation and how to identify it, along with strategies to enhance human-animal communication, and so much more!
I invite you to take a listen to the full podcast episode (link below). I think you’ll gain meaningful insights and valuable information that you can apply to your own relationships with your animal companions, and you may even experience a giggle or two. Please give it a listen and let us know what you think!
Many Blessings and Thank You!
